A basic online presence can be established from as little as £75; this will consist of a single static page much like a business card. A 'Business Start-up Kit', from £249, will provide multiple pages covering such things as company information, contact details, service offerings etc. More complex sites using dynamic content, e-Commerce, Content Management Systems are priced on an individual basis.

The answer usually depends on how well defined your requirements are. If you are clear on these a simple online presence can be established within a week and a 'Business Start-up Kit' in 4 weeks typically. More complex solutions may take longer, 2 to 3 months is not uncommon.

Web hosting is the means of storing your web site onto a computer (called a Web Server) that is visible to the World Wide Web 24 hours a day, where users can then locate and browse it. For large sites/companies a dedicated computer can be provided solely for their use, whilst smaller sites/companies tend to use shared space - that is space on a computer which is shared amongst several companies/websites. The sharing is transparent to the web site owner and any visitor.
Jadex Solutions provides either dedicated or shared space solutions via UK2.NET, one of the largest hosting companies in the UK.

Search Engines and Directories are one of the ways users can locate your website on the World Wide Web. However the search engine needs to know about your site in the first place. As part of our 'Business Start-up Kit' we will register your site with the major search engines and directories that offer free subscriptions. We can also register you on other search engines that charge a fee. However this is only a start and you may wish to refine your listings in an attempt to maximise your position in the listing and for this we can offer you advice on Search Engine Optimisation

This can be done in a number of ways. For all the sites we deliver (apart from the online presence) we provide full documentation as to how the site is structured, file locations, naming conventions, version history etc. so that if you wish you can then maintain and update your site once it is complete. For sites that do not change frequently and the owners are happy editing HTML/CSS file, this is perfectly adequate. However for sites with a lot of dynamic content, or where owners do not want to edit HTML/CSS files Content Management System (CMS) solutions can be provided, or even monthly maintenance agreements taken out where we will make all the changes necessary on an ongoing basis.

This is the format that the documents displayed in your web browser are written in. The HTML (Hyper Text Markup Language) defines the structural content of the document, whilst the CSS (Cascading Style Sheet) controls the format and presentation of the content. Thus content and format are separated to ease maintenance.
All the sites that we develop are written to use current W3C guidelines and are tested using their validation tools where applicable. Wherever possible we will not use Frames or Tables to control the formatting of a web page due to the Accessibility problems that these out-dated techniques present. If required we can enable the website to be presented on a variety of different mediums (e.g. screen, print, mobile, speech, text)

ASP (Active Server Pages) and PHP (Personal Home Page) are application 'languages' (amongst others) used to deliver dynamic content to the visitor Regardless of these the document is still presented to the user as HTML/CSS via the browser. The need for these is dependant upon the function of the web site. We will determine the need for these once we know your requirements and make all the necessary arrangements accordingly.

Back in the dark ages of the World Wide Web lots of sites included a basic 'hit' counter on a page that simply counted the number of visitors to that web page. However these provide an inaccurate and clumsy way of measuring visitors to your site and only old or outdated sites continue to use this method. Nowadays the majority of hosting companies provide access to the log files for your web site. Unfortunately this are not directly understandable, however there are a number of tools available to carry out the log file analysis to translate the log into a charts and tables. The analysis can then provide a wealth of information on such things like; How visitors came to your site, Where they entered it, Where they left it, How long they stayed etc. All maintenance agreements we offer include this analysis as standard on a monthly basis. For your convenience this is typically provided into a secure area of your website for your eyes only.

The simple answer is No!
You don't need any prior knowledge of the terms, technologies etc. since we will take care of all this on your behalf. All we ask of you is to guide us through your business and what you want from your website - we will take care of the rest and will happily maintain your site thereafter if this is what you require. This of course doesn't have to be decided up front and can be added later.
We can even help you put together your requirements!
